Urban Active Turfway Wins AGC Build Kentucky Award














EOP Architects, Brett Construction Company, and Global Fitness Holdings were recognized at the annual Associated General Contractor Build Kentucky Awards on February 7. Urban Active Turfway, located in Florence, Kentucky, was given one of three awards for buildings in the $5 - $10 million category. The AGC Build Kentucky Awards honor projects that "stand out due to their excellence in construction, project management, innovative design, conceptual development, and their positive impact on the community." Congratulations to everyone on the project team!

Eblen Discusses Potential of New BCTC Campus

Check out today's Lexington Herald-Leader. Tom Eblen's column features commentary about the potential of the new BCTC campus to make an enormous impact on Lexington. This campus will be developed on the existing Eastern State Hospital site. EOP Architects and M2D Design Group, along with Perkins+Will, are developing the master plan for the campus.

EOP Bus Stop Design Featured in Business Lexington

A Business Lexington article recently featured a rendering of the EOP Bluegrass bus stop. This bus shelter was designed for a proposed location on Newtown Pike as a part of the Art In Motion Bus Stop Competition. The blue steel pipes, which frame the perimeter of the shelter, are a sculptural interpretation of Kentucky bluegrass and doubly serve as the structural support for the metal roof. The signage on the interior of the shelter is meant to be an art piece that can be changed on a regular basis.
