Business Lexington published a piece today profiling EOP's role in the LexTran ArtStop project. EOP provided design services for this community venture, which was a joint effort between Art in Motion, Inc., local artist Garry Bibbs, and other community and neighborhood groups. The bus stop, located downtown at Third Street and Elm Tree Lane, includes a shelter, benches, art panels, and a sculpture. EOP principal, Paul Ochenkoski, discusses EOP's motivation for involvement in a project like this: "As architects, we have always had an interest in art and the art community, and we enjoy making it part of our repertoire, as part of our work. With all of the buildings we've done, we always try to incorporate some artwork, even if it's out front as a stand alone sculpture."
